Networking EventSubject: "The financial crisis – how our customers are reacting, and what we should do in response and to prepare for the future." Facilitator: Elisabeth Germain-Vallée, VP of Human Resources at Hewlett Packard 19:00 - 21:00
Presentation : "The financial crisis – how our customers are reacting, and what we should do in response and to prepare for the future." So, now we know that the financial crisis is extending its effect into 2010. Many of us are experiencing cancellations and postponements as companies react to their changing business priorities. Unfortunately learning and development budgets are being cut and it’s only really essential training which avoids the knife. Our 16th March TEN event will be an interactive workshop to explore this topic. Elisabeth Germain, VP of Human Resources at Hewlett Packard will introduce the topic by giving us insight into how large companies are reacting to the crisis and how their short and long-term planning is being adapted, particularly in the area of Learning and Development. We will then break into groups and brainstorm how we as providers and partners should be reacting to this situation. In addition, we will be presenting the feedback from the recent survey we ran on the future of the TEN organization. Elisabeth Germain-Vallée
